Tomorrow’s construction managers
will be given the designs for building roads, bridges, or other projects.
They will then oversee and execute the organization, scheduling, and
implementation of those designs. They will be responsible for coordinating
and managing people, materials, equipment, budgets, schedules, contracts, and
the safety of employees and the general public. As the nation continues to build
and improve highways, bridges, dams, water and sewage systems, electric power
generation, and transmission facilities, the demand will grow for construction
managers, engineers, and civil technicians.
