The field of heavy equipment technology is advancing rapidly. Computers play an important role in global positioning satellite technology and diagnosing heavy
equipment worldwide. The HET program prepares individuals to maintain, troubleshoot, and overhaul the major components of earth-moving equipment. Graduates of this program can expect to find employment with construction companies, heavy equipment sales and service organizations, equipment dealers, state highway maintenance departments, and mining companies. Graduates will have opportunities to move into sales, management, or shop supervision.
