The Laser

Almost every industry today benefits from the use of lasers and optics. The Laser/Photonics option, which is located in Mexico, Missouri, at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), prepares you for a career in the rapidly growing field of laser technology and photonics. Graduates of this program pursue careers as fiber optic technicians, laser operators in a variety of industrial settings, laser maintenance and customer support for photonics companies, and laser related positions in the biophotonics and medicinal photonics fields. This high demand creates favorable job placement prospects as well as starting salaries, especially for graduates who are willing to relocate. Students will take general education classes through Moberly Area Community College (MACC).

Additional Application Requirements:

  • Submit an application for admission to both LSTC and MACC.
