The AAS Degree in Nuclear Technology program will be the only one of its
kind offered in Missouri
Technicians with
the educational background provided by this program are in high demand NOW. With
the rising use of radiation in diagnostics, medical treatment and applications,
and the potential expansion of nuclear power technology, this demand will remain
high for years to come. The MNT program, which is located in Mexico, Missouri,
at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC), offers students a unique opportunity to obtain state-of-the-art
training that will put them in demand by any organization or business that
handles radioactive substances including advanced manufacturing, medical
facilities, research reactors, the nuclear power industry, hazardous waste
removal companies, and government agencies. Job placement prospects are highly
favorable and starting salaries reflect this high demand. Students will take
general education classes through Moberly Area Community College (MACC).
