supervision of a physical therapist in direct patient care, which can include
implementing treatment programs, training patients in exercises and the activities of daily living, and documenting patients’ progress.

Applicant form (see link below).

A 1-2 page, typed personal essay is required
to evaluate communication skills. Topics may include how you became
interested in the field of physical therapy, what qualities you as an
individual could contribute to the profession, your past personal
experiences involving the healthcare system and/or rehabilitation, etc.

For priority consideration in the Physical
Therapist Assistant program, all of these items must be received by the Office
of Admissions by March 1. Candidates may submit applications after March 1, but those applications will not be given preference.
Applications will continue to be accepted until June 1st or until the program is
full.
