Telecommunications technicians are trained in extremely technical and highly specialized installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of complex communication infrastructures. These include telecommunication network switching; Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP); microwave, wireless, satellite equipment installation and repair; fiber optics and customer premises wiring; and many other facets of this rapidly changing industry.
