Individuals,
companies, and organizations cannot exist without worldwide communication.
Telecommunications technicians are trained in extremely technical and highly
specialized installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of complex
communication infrastructures. Graduates from the program are prepared to
assist customers with modern communications systems. Advancement in
telecommunications technology will continue to create demand for competent
technicians and new fields are continually emerging for well-qualified

with voice and data services through a variety of delivery systems. These include
telecommunication network switching; Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP);
microwave, wireless, satellite equipment installation and repair; fiber optics and
customer premises wiring; and many other facets of this rapidly changing
industry.
