Ozark Electric Cooperative Scholarship
General Description
Awarded as a two-year, five-semester
college scholarship to students pursuing an associate of applied science
degree in Electrical Distribution Systems at Linn State Technical
College. Recipients receive $1,100 the first semester and $2,200 each of
the remaining four semesters of enrollment, under conditions of the
scholarship, to cover the cost for books and tuition and/or room and
board in conjunction with the A+ program, if the student is an eligible
A+ recipient. To be considered individuals must be a graduate of a high
school in the Ozark Electric Cooperative service area. Applicants must
interview with Ozark Electric Cooperative. The recipient will serve a
summer internship with Ozark Electric Cooperative and agree to accept
contracted employment, if offered, following completion of the two-year
degree for a period of at least two years after obtaining journeyman
status. Applications for the scholarship program must be submitted in
writing to Ozark Electric Cooperative, Attn: Linn State Technical
College Program, PO Box 420, Mt. Vernon, MO 65712 on or before April 30th.
