MoHealthWINs and Linn State Technical College
Linn State Technical College is a member of a consortium of Missouri two year colleges that received the MoHealthWINs $20 million dollar Federally Funded Trade Act Grant issued by the Department of Labor. Linn State Technical College will use their portion of these funds to train and retrain participants to be employed in the healthcare field focusing on IT, Biomed, and Maintenance.

Programs of Study offered at Linn State Technical College
• Digital Literacy: This traditional program of study offers basic computer concepts along with Introductory Healthcare Industry Soft Skills. Microsoft Office and Medical Terminology will be emphasized. Basic math, reading, and English will be offered depending on the participants WorkKeys employability level. This is the entry level program leading into other grant funded programs of study at Linn State Technical College. An IC3 Certification will be awarded to completers.
• Computer Support Tech.: This hybrid program of study offers basic computer concepts along with the essential skills needed for grant funded participants to become a Computer Support Technician. Basic math, reading, and English classes will be offered depending on the participants WorkKeys employability level. This is a program that includes hardware, voice and data cabling, and other instruction based on A+ Certification. An A+ Certificate will be awarded to completers
• Office Clerk/Customer Service: This hybrid program of study offers basic computer concepts along with project management and basic office skills needed for grant funded participants. To become an Office Clerk or Customer Service Representative in the healthcare profession; Basic math, reading and English will be offered depending participants WorkKeys employability level. This program of study will award a Microsoft Office Certificate to completers.
• Systems Administration: This hybrid program of study offers computer concepts and usage along with administrative skills, server administration knowledge, data systems management skills for administrative employment in the Healthcare Industry. This program of study will award a Linux or Microsoft Office Certificate to completers.
• Introduction to Maintenance: This traditional program of study offers a broad range of basic skills needed to install, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment and inventory in the healthcare facilities. Basic math, reading and English classes will be offered depending on participants WorkKeys employability level. An IMT Certificate will be awarded to completers.
• Biomed Equipment Technician: This is a high level on-line program of study, teaching grant funded participants maintenance and repair techniques for a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation. This program will award an EET Biomed Certificate and college credit to completers.
Linn State Technical College MoHealthWINS Programs of Study will begin January 2013.
