LSTC Weatherization Training Center

The Linn State Technical College Weatherization Training Center, located in Linn, Missouri is strategically partnered with the Department of Natural Resources’ Energy Center (DNR/EC) to provide a full range of classes related to the Weatherization Assistance Program.

The classes  are whole-house building science based and include heating system tune-ups and retrofits, shell retrofits, air sealing, blower door use, health and safety diagnostics, duct sealing, lead safe practices and customized sessions tailored to meet the needs of the progressive Program. The training center has classrooms, access to a full HVAC laboratory and 1 ½ story house on campus to assist the training delivery. The core training activities are directed at the staff and contractors of the 18 Community Based Organizations that deliver the Weatherization Assistance Program statewide.

The training center is also available for custom training that serves home performance contractors, remodelers, new homebuilders and others that desire to partner with the ENERGY STAR Program (more on ENERGY STAR at energystar.gov). LSTC is an affiliate with the Building Performance Institute (BPI) (go to www.bpi.org for more information) for delivering  national certification for the home performance industry.
