Private gifts to Linn State Technical College allow the College to expand beyond the limits of public funding in order to:
- Develop and implement new programs to meet the needs of industry
- Raise funds to assist in the upgrade or purchase of equipment
- Establish an endowment fund that will be distributed to the program faculty identified by the donor
- Build the memorial endowment principal to provide assistance for students facing financial hardship
- Provide privately funded scholarships to students attending the college
- Provide funds for the upgrading of equipment and facilities to offer a broad range of health and wellness services at the Activity Center
Your gift truly makes an impact. The gap between projected costs for critical projects and anticipated revenue from traditional public sources is broadening. Less than 30% of Linn State’s current revenues come from state appropriations. Like many of this state’s institutions of higher learning, public sources of revenue will not cover the costs associated with expansion and program enhancement at Linn State.
