The final nail has been
hammered. The last coat of paint has been applied. Construction is
finalized. The 71,420 foot Linn State Technical College Activity Center is now
open.
The
construction of the facility is estimated at $8 million. The project is being
funded through a grant from FEMA, capital dollars, private gifts and through
revenue bonds. The project is not receiving state funds.
Over
the years, many community supporters, industry partners and suppliers have
chosen to provide assistance to LSTC and students through a contribution for a
named fund or facility. A named gift opportunity sends a strong message to our
students and people living in the community that an individual, business, or
organization has loaned their name to the college’s efforts to provide high
quality technical education.
We invite you to consider a variety of
naming opportunities that
currently exist in the Activity Center. Linn State Technical College, like many
other higher education institutions, relies heavily on philanthropic support.
Your financial support of the Activity Center will ensure a quality facility
with exceptional programs and services for students and the community.
Formed in 1983 by friends and supporters of the college as a private nonprofit
corporation, the Foundation is dedicated solely to the advancement of Linn State
Technical College. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization,
contributions to
the Foundation are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Thank
you for your support of the community and to the future of education in
Missouri.
