Who May Borrow
Linn State Technical College
students, faculty and staff have access to the entire collection. Residents of
Linn and Osage County can borrow print materials.
Obtaining a Library Card
To borrow materials from the
LSTC collection, you must have a valid library card.
LSTC students, faculty and
staff receive a bar coded sticker on their ID cards and must be entered in the
library circulation database.
To obtain a library card,
residents of Linn and Osage County must present a
picture ID, such as a driver's license
and proof of their current residence address, such as a recent bill from the
utilities company. Borrowing privileges are restricted to 10 print materials
from the LSTC Library collection.
Library service
may be denied if a user does not return overdue materials, does not pay
outstanding fines, removes materials illegally or repeatedly abuses Library
policies.
Overdue
Materials
Overdue notices
will be e-mailed or mailed to all borrowers. Materials, not returned fourteen
days after the date due and two overdue notices, will be billed and a charge
will appear on the monthly statement. Charges, not paid within 30 days after the
billing date, will be sent to a collection agency.
Returning
Materials
Those using
materials, whether in or out of the library, are responsible for any
deterioration in the condition of the material while in their use, as well as
the timely return of the materials. Borrowers who lose or damage library
materials will be assessed a replacement and processing fee. If a lost item is
found and returned in good condition before the replacement has been
ordered, the replacement cost will be refunded.
